Not an afterthought
Kick treated as a first-class platform
Kick has fewer giveaway tools than Twitch, and most of what exists is either a chat bot you have to add to your channel or a browser extension that only works while a particular tab stays open on your machine.
SpinDeck connects to Kick’s own real-time chat socket — the same live connection the Kick website uses to render messages as they arrive. It runs on our servers, not in a tab on your computer, so it keeps collecting entries whether or not you have Kick open, and it survives you restarting OBS.
Two Kick-specific details we handle so you do not have to think about them:
- Emotes. Kick sends emotes as markup like [emote:37226:KEKW] inside the message text. Those are unwrapped before matching, so an emote next to your keyword never stops an entry from registering.
- Reconnects. If Kick drops the socket, SpinDeck backs off and reconnects on its own rather than silently missing entries for the rest of the round.

How to run a giveaway on Kick

Create the round
Make a free SpinDeck account, click New giveaway, name the prize, and choose the slot count — anywhere from 5 to 200. That number is when the wheel fires.

Paste your Kick channel
Your channel name or the full kick.com/yourname URL. SpinDeck looks up the channel, joins its live chat room, and starts reading. Nothing is added to your Kick account.

Set the keyword
Default !join, or any word. Matching is whole-word, case-insensitive, and strips Kick emote markup and invisible characters so real entries are never missed.

Drop the overlay into OBS
Add the overlay URL as a Browser source at 1920×1080. Transparent background, so it sits over your gameplay, showing the slot counter, then the spin, then the winner.

Tell chat the word
Each viewer who types it takes one slot with their Kick username and avatar. Duplicates are ignored. When the last slot fills, the wheel spins on its own.

How do I run a giveaway on Kick?
Create a round on SpinDeck, name the prize, set the slot count and keyword, paste your Kick channel link, and add the overlay URL to OBS as a browser source. Tell chat the word. When the deck fills, the wheel spins on stream and picks the winner.
Do I need a Kick bot or an extension?
No. SpinDeck reads your Kick chat from our servers over Kick’s own live chat connection. There is no bot to add to your channel and no browser extension to install.
Does it keep working if I close Kick in my browser?
Yes. It does not run in your browser, so entries keep arriving whether or not you have Kick open, and restarting OBS does not interrupt the round.
Is it free?
Yes. Creating an account and running Kick giveaways is free, with no card required.
What word do viewers type?
!join by default, changeable to anything. Kick emote markup is stripped before matching, so an emote beside the keyword will not stop an entry counting.
Can someone enter twice?
No. One slot per Kick account. Repeat messages from the same person are ignored, so spamming the keyword does not improve anyone’s odds.
Why do some Kick viewers show a generated avatar?
Not every Kick account has a profile picture. When there is none, SpinDeck generates a consistent coloured avatar from the username so the deck still looks complete and that viewer is still recognisable.
How many people can enter a Kick giveaway?
Up to 200 slots per round. Set it to the number of entrants you want and the wheel spins as soon as the deck is full.
Is the draw actually random?
The winner is picked on the server with a cryptographically secure random number generator before the animation starts, then the server broadcasts the exact spin curve so every screen lands on the same result. Nothing running in a browser can change it.
